Evalita provides a shared framework for the evaluation of different systems and approaches on separate tasks, all for Italian. For the 2014 edition we evaluated the following tasks:

• Sentiment Polarity Classification (SENTIPOLC)
• Word Sense Disambiguation (WSD), Lexical Substitution (LS) (cancelled)

Speech Tasks

• Emotion Recogniton Task (ERT)
• Forced Alignment on Children Speech (FACS)
• Human and Machine Dialect Identification from Natural Speech and Artificial Stimuli (HMDI)
• Speech Activity Detection and Speaker Localization in Domestic Environments (SASLODOM)
