Student Contest on Best Voice Application on Mobile Platform
The contest, organised in conjunction with AISV and Loquendo S.p.A., is open to secondary-school and university students of all ranks.
We invite students to implement voice applications on mobile platforms based on the Italian spoken language.
Applications submitted to the contest should be developed for mobile devices using either mobile (3G) or Wi-Fi data logging, based on the operating system Android release 2.2 (Froyo) or higher.
The contest is divided into two sections, one about a subject of choice, in which the entrants may freely define the area of interest of the application they are going to propose, and one specifically designed for Automotive applications.
Registrations will start on June 1st , 2011 and will end on July 30th, 2011.
Winner: The winner of the contest is Roberto Rinaldi, student at the Second Cycle Degree Programme in Informatics at the University of Naples "Federico II", with the application: "Titò: un mobile client Android per la consultazione degli orari dell’ANM"

Roberto Pieraccini (International Computer Science Institute, Berkeley, USA) and Paolo Coppo (Loquendo) would be defining and chairing the review committee who will be judging the applications.
